Private Voice & Music Lessons
Summit Studios offers private instruction in the following areas:
- Vocal training
- Piano
- Guitar, bass guitar and banjo
- Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone, accordion, etc.)
- Brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, etc.)
- Strings (cello, viola, violin, etc.)
- Percussion (drums, etc.)
All of our instructors are specialists on their specific instrument and are chosen not only for their educational and performance backgrounds but also for their ability to inspire students of all ages. Lessons are offered in 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions.
All Summit students have various performance opportunities throughout the year, including our Winter Showcase, Spring Recitals and "Rockin' the Block!" summer concert. We also offer a variety of ensemble gigging opportunities, including our rock band, jazz band and show choir.
Performing Arts Training
Summit Studios also offers performing arts training for actors, dancers and other stage performers. Classes are formed according to age, enrollment and student needs within these specialty areas:
- Dance and theater training – ballet, musical theatre, dance, hip hop and acting lessons
- Magic lessons with Magician Brian Miller
Master Classes
Summit Master Classes give students the opportunity to perform and learn with their peers. Classes will be 90 minutes and focus on tone, phrasing, accuracy and interpretation. Students of all levels can benefit from the advanced methods and techniques explored, explained and performed by various experts.
College Prep Class for Musicians
Thinking of music as a career? Are you prepared to audition at the university of your choice? Do you know what the audition requirements are? Are you ready for the music theory entrance exam? How about the piano proficiency test? Ear training? With Summit's college prep package you will receive: highly specialized training on your primary instrument with focus upon college level requirements; group piano lessons preparing you for piano proficiency; and all of the necessary theory training. Nail your audition with the college prep package and get into the school of your choice!
Early Childhood Music Program
Introduce your child to the universal language at Summit Studios. Music is scientifically proven to increase aptitude as well as lower stress levels in our lives. Start a lifelong love of music with this program. In this class your child will experience sounds, rhythms, and notation through a hands-on program. Students will play games, listen, and tap into their own creativity through this wonderfully colorful class!
